All our Rescue technicians are multi-skilled within the fire and rescue industry and we have two fully equipped fire appliances ready to be deployed to cover high risk projects and events.

Our fire crews have completed hundreds of projects over the last 20 years and gained knowledge and experience supporting high-risk projects, fire system impairment cover, flood response, royal visits, large sporting events, TV and film studio stand-by and family fun days.

FIT fire crews can be adapted dependant on level of cover required, a minimum team formation of four to include an Officer-in-Charge, pump operator and two BA (breathing apparatus) search and rescue fire fighters.

For more specialist projects we are able to provide up to two fully equipped appliances with six crew members per appliance.

Fire Crew Standby FAQs

Do I need a fire crew on standby?

Your need for a fire crew standby team can be determined through a site and works audit to identify the hazards and risks presented.

Please note that the use of emergency services such as the fire brigade to support private enterprise high risk works is forbidden, and that a rescue plan / rescue team must be in place and agreed prior to any works commencing.

The emergency services are to be utilised as a backup response only and should not be seen as first response option.

What are the benefits of a standby fire crew?

A dedicated fire crew will have prior working knowledge of your site, common high risk works and an understanding of any potential rescue hazards. This allows for the optimal response in any emergency situation.

Ready to respond to any emergency at a moment’s notice can make the difference between life and death.

Our highly trained and safety dedicated standby team can provide rescue provisions covering fire and first aid as well as rescue for people working in confined space or at height, for various industries or events.

What size fire crew do I need?
